The genealogist seeks out the adress of legal successors, whose existence is presumed and justifies the hereditary quality of those who are unable to establish the link with the deceased relative.

Then, all sources of information are exploited. All the files, freely available or available by special permission of the judicial or administrative authority, and all the memories of each one can lead to the one who might be the heir of a relative.
